Volunteer or Drafted/Assigned Paramedics. Members of the Department who are Volunteer or Drafted/Assigned Paramedics and who have completed their basic commitment period may request to withdraw from the program. All requests to withdraw must be made between November 1 and November 30 of each year and shall be submitted in writing to the Fire Chief. These members may be allowed to withdraw if the number of existing paramedics exceeds the number set by the Fire Chief, in descending order of seniority as a Paramedic with the Evanston Fire Department. Seniority in this case will be determined by the month and year the member becomes certified in the St. Xxxxxxx System.
