Waiting Time Benchmarks. (A) The Contractor shall adopt benchmarks for waiting times for dental appointments as follows: (1) Benchmarks for Waiting Times for Appointments with a Dental Provider: (i) within 21 days for a routine, non-urgent appointments (ii) same day for urgent care that can be treated in provider’s office. (B) The Contractor shall establish mechanisms to ensure that its Participating Providers are complying with the timely access requirements, and shall monitor its Participating Providers regularly to determine compliance by Participating Providers. If there is failure to comply, the Contractor shall take corrective action.
