Common use of Work Area Clause in Contracts

Work Area. The Board recognizes that in order for an Employee to accomplish his/her job effectively, it is necessary for each building to have a designated work area which can be used by itinerant teachers for the purpose of preparation, grading papers, storage of materials and other functions for the practice of his/her profession. If the employee’s position requires storage of or exchange of confidential information, that employee shall have access to a secure area for this purpose. This matter shall be referred to the respective building leadership committees and, if necessary, to the Superintendent.
