Common use of WORK PRODUCT AND RECORDS Clause in Contracts

WORK PRODUCT AND RECORDS. 10.1 Property of City. All reports, data, maps, models, charts, studies, surveys, photographs, memoranda or other written documents or materials prepared by Consultant pursuant to this agreement shall become the property of City upon completion of the work to be performed hereunder or upon termination of this agreement. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, if, in connection with services performed under this agreement, the Consultant or its subcontractors create artwork, copy, posters, billboards, photographs, videotapes, audiotapes, systems designs, software, reports, diagrams, surveys, source codes or any other original works of authorship, such works of authorship shall be works for hire as defined under Title 17 of the United States Code, and all copyrights in such works are the property of City.
