Common use of World Service Clause in Contracts

World Service. The Fee payable by the BBC for a World Service commission shall be the Two Transmissions Fee covering the Writer’s remuneration for the first two World Service Transmissions if the commission is for a Play or an Original Series. If the commission is for a Dramatisation, Adaptation or Dramatised Feature in the World Service the BBC may choose to pay either the Two Transmissions Fee covering the first two World Service Transmissions or the single Transmission Fee in respect of one World Service Transmission (and will pay the additional fee set out in Schedule Two for any further World Service Transmission)
