Xxxxxxx’x Department. Routine duties for members of the Xxxxxxx’x Department include the supervision, preparation and serving of the regular meals, the preparation of night lunches, the cleaning and maintaining of the quarters of the licensed personnel and of all dining and messrooms, galley, pantries, storerooms, linen room, all equipment, and cleaning of refrigeration spaces, but not to include work covered in paragraph (e) below. With respect to the cleaning and maintaining of washroom and toilet facilities of the licensed personnel, the work day shall be so scheduled by the Chief Cook that members of the Xxxxxxx‘s Department will perform this work during when they are not actively engaged in the preparation of food It is understood that on vessels having at least three employees in the Xxxxxxx’x Department, neither the Chief Xxxx nor the Second Cook will be to clean toilets. Laundry and linens shall not be issued while meals are being served. In addition to his regular hours of work, two (2) hours’ overtime per month will be allowed to each member of the Xxxxxxx‘s Department for the purpose of storing provisions and supplies during normal working hours. Members of the Xxxxxxx‘s Department shall be paid their specified overtime rate for all work performed outside of their posted eight (8) hour working schedule providing such work is authorized by the Captain, Chief Engineer or Officer in charge. On vessels where persons other than the crew members, crew member’s families, mobile utility crew members and officials of the Company the Union are lawfully carried aboard the Company agrees to pay eleven dollars ($11.00) per day for each person, to be equally among the members of the Xxxxxxx’x Department. While the ship is in port, if meals are supplied to any persons who are not members of the crew, crew member’s families, mobile utility crew members or officials of the Company the Union, the Companyagrees to pay five dollars ($5.00) per meal, to be equally distributedamong the members of the Xxxxxxx’x Department, provided that the provisionsof this clause shall not apply to pilots. Should the Company allow other family members aboard the vessel, the members of the Xxxxxxx’x Department shall be compensated in accordancewith the above amounts.
