Common use of Xxxxxxx’x Duties Clause in Contracts

Xxxxxxx’x Duties. (a) The Union shall designate one (1) Xxxxxxx or alternate designate to deal with a Supervisor with respect to any complaint arising out of this Agreement or any general working conditions to be discussed with the Supervisor, subject to maintaining as much continuity as is reasonably possible. (b) A Xxxxxxx may attend to his/her duties during working hours without loss of pay provided that: (i) the duties do not disrupt the Xxxxxxx’x normal duties as an Employee or the normal duties of any other Employees; (ii) in order to ensure compliance with (i), no Xxxxxxx shall leave his/her work site without obtaining the permission of his/her Supervisor or designate, such permission not to be unreasonably withheld; and (iii) the time shall be devoted to the prompt handling of necessary Union business.
