Common use of Year of Service for Participation Clause in Contracts

Year of Service for Participation. For participation purposes, an Employee will be credited with a Year of Service [Check one. See Section 3.1(b)(3) and Section 3.1(d).] (1) [ x ] Standard: at the end of the Computation Period in which the Employee completes at least 1,000 Hours of Service. (2) [ ] on the date on which the Employee completes at least [not more than 1,000] Hours of Service. (3) [ ] at the end of the Computation Period on which the Employee completes at least [not more than 1,000] Hours of Service. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if a partial Year of Service is selected in Part III.B, no minimum number of Hours of Service will be required.
