Calculation of the grant amount: the grant amount is calculated by multiplying the total number of learners receiving linguistic support by the unit cost as specified in Annex III of the Agreement. • Triggering event: the event that conditions the entitlement to the grant is that the participant has actually undertaken the language preparation in the language of instruction or work. • Supporting documents: o proof of attendance of courses in the form of a declaration signed by the course provider, specifying the name of the participant, the language taught, the format and the duration of the provided linguistic support; o invoice for the purchase of learning materials, specifying the language concerned, the name and address of the body issuing the invoice, the amount and currency, and the date of invoice; o in case the linguistic support is provided directly by the Beneficiary: a declaration signed and dated by the participant, specifying the name of the participant, the language taught, the format and the duration of the received linguistic support. • Calculation of the grant amount: o in case of mobilities other than higher education the grant amount is calculated by multiplying the number of days per participant (including the accompanying persons in case of mobilities of students in secondary education) by the unit costs applicable per day for the concerned receiving country as specified in Annex III of the Agreement. o in case of students in higher education, the grant amount is calculated by multiplying the number of days by 1/30 of the unit cost applicable per month for the concerned receiving country as specified in Annex III of the Agreement. o In case of mobilities of staff of higher education institutions, the grant is calculated by applying the unit cost applicable for the number of weeks as specified in Annex III to the Treaty. One week consists of at least 5 days. In case of incomplete weeks, the grant amount is calculated by multiplying the number of days in the incomplete week (in this case 7 days as a whole) by 1/5 of the difference between the applicable unit costs. E.g. in case of an activity lasting 9 days in the donor state (9 days = 7 days of the 1st week and 2 days of the second week), this means the difference between the unit cost applicable for 2 weeks and the unit cost applicable for one week.
