Examples of Abused children in a sentence
Abused children, elderly persons, battered spouses, homeless persons, adults meeting the Bureau of Census definition of “severely disabled adults”, illiterate adults, persons living with AIDS, and migrant farm workers are presumed by HUD to be principally LMI.
However, given that teachers often have little or no contact with parents and othercaregivers, the main focus when considering apossibility of maltreatment must be on the “child indicators.” Abused children are frequently victimized in multiple ways, and cases do not often sort themselves neatly into the categories implied in the list of indicators above.

Abused children may feel useless or worthless, go on to become abusers in the future, find it difficult to have a meaningful and trusting relationship, or turn to drugs, prostitution or attempt suicide.
