Family violence definition

Family violence means conduct as defined by S.7 of the Family Violence Act 2004.
Family violence means conduct, whether actual or threatened, by a person towards, or towards the property of, a member of the person’s family that causes that or any other member of the person’s family to fear for, or to be apprehensive about, his or her personal well‑being or safety; (FLA s. 60D(1))
Family violence. : means an incident resulting in physical harm, bodily injury or assault, or an act of threatened violence that constitutes fear of imminent physical harm, bodily injury or assault, including, but not limited to, stalking or a pattern of threatening, between family or household members.   • Unused Family Violence Leave does not carry over from year to year and is not paid out on termination of employment.

  • Contributions will continue to be paid on behalf of an eligible Employee during any absences on paid leave including Annual Leave, Long Service Leave including Q Leave, Public Holidays, Domestic and Family Violence Leave, Personal Leave and Bereavement Leave, but the Employer will not be required to pay superannuation contributions on behalf of any eligible Employee during any unpaid absences, except in the case of absence on workers' compensation or income protection.

  • In accordance with the Employment Relations Act 2000, if an employee qualifies for Family Violence Leave under this clause, an employee may also request, in writing, a short-term (up to two month) variation of his/her working arrangements for the purpose of assisting to deal with the effects of being affected by family violence.
