Academic Penalty definition

Academic Penalty means a penalty of one (1) year without WFN post-secondary education funding.
Academic Penalty means that the unit of study in question is awarded a failing grade.

Examples of Academic Penalty in a sentence

  • Students may voluntarily withdraw from the University for any reason prior to the Deadline to Withdraw Without Academic Penalty.

  • A course must be dropped prior to Last Day to Withdraw without Academic Penalty as listed in the Academic Calendar for each term.

  • A student may withdraw from a course or program without academic penalty up to the Last Day to Withdraw without Academic Penalty as listed in Humber's Academic Calendar for each term: http://www.humber.ca/academic-calendar.

  • The Dean of Students (or designee) may grant a medical withdrawal after the Deadline to Withdraw Without Academic Penalty has passed to students who are able to demonstrate medical or psychological reasons by clear and convincing evidence.

  • Students withdrawing prior to the beginning of the Fall or Spring semesters or prior to the Academic Penalty Deadline (the eighth week or the semester) may do so without academic penalty by filling out the Withdrawal/Leave Notification Form through the Dean’s Office, 205 McDowell Hall or the Dean of Students Office, 218 Hullihen Hall.

  • Withdrawals and leaves after the Academic Penalty Deadline (the eighth week of the semester) require permission from the assistant/associate dean of the student’s college.

  • Role of Academic Administrators: Chairs, Deans and Vice President, Academic The Chair of the program the student is in receives a copy of the Notification of Academic Penalty when issued.

  • The form is accepted during the deadlines referenced on the Academic Calendar as the “Drop/Add” period and through the “Deadline to Withdraw (without Academic Penalty –W assigned)”.

  • Civil penalty means the payment Licensee has agreed to pay to the United States Treasury;

  • Published Penalties means any additional published cancellation penalties levied by Your travel agency or Travel Supplier that apply to all clients of the travel agency or Travel Supplier and can be documented at time of Your purchase of Travel Arrangements from Your travel agency.   • Licensed health care professional means a person who possesses a professional medical license that is valid in Oregon. Examples include, but are not limited to, a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), licensed practical nurse (LPN), medical doctor (MD), osteopathic physician (DO), respiratory therapist (RT), physical therapist (PT), physician assistant (PA), or occupational therapist (OT).

  • FCRA means Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. Section 1681, et seq. and Equal Credit Opportunity Act, 15 U.S.C. Section 1681, et seq.

  • Qualified Medical Practitioner means a medical practitioner who possesses any recognised medical qualification as defined in clause (h) of section 2 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and who is enrolled on a State Medical register as defined in clause (k) of that section;
