Accessorial services. Means the services related to the Service provided by KCSM in terms of the Xxxx of Lading and this Agreement, which may be derived from a request by the User or generated by virtue of the breach of its part in the reception or delivery of the Freight or the Railroad Equipment, indicating without limitation the following: (i) Hauling; (ii) Rights of Floor; (iii) Lease of Locomotives; (iv) Change of Destination and/or Consignee; (v) Loading and Unloading; (vi) Comparison, Inspection and Verification of Freight; (vii) Transfer; (viii) Applicable Charges to Equipment in Multimodal Service; (ix) Charges per Delay and Semi hauling per Day and per Unit; and (x) Delays and (ix) intermodal storage.
Accessorial services means any service performed by a Consent Defendant which results in a charge to the shipper and is incidental to the transportation or shipment of household goods, including, but not limited to, valuation coverage; preparation of written inventory; equipment, including dollies, hand trucks, pads, blankets, and straps; storage, packing, unpacking, or crating of articles; hoisting or lowering; waiting time; carrying articles excessive distances to or from the mover’s vehicle, which may be cited as “long carry”; overtime loading and unloading; reweighing; disassembly or reassembly; elevator or stair carrying; boxing or servicing of appliances; and furnishing of packing or crating materials. The term also includes services not performed by the Consent Defendants but performed by a third party at the request of the shipper or the Consent Defendants, if the charges for these services are to be paid to the Consent Defendants by the shipper at or before the time of delivery.
Accessorial services means services provided by an intrastate motor carrier of household goods at the request of a shipper that may be in addition to the actual transportation of the household goods. Examples of accessorial services are packing, unpacking, appliance servicing, loading/unloading of large items (such as a piano), climbing/descending stairs, demurrage, etc.
