Additional Surcharge definition

Additional Surcharge means surcharge determined by the Commission under Section 42(4) of the Act;
Additional Surcharge means additional surcharge for the purposes of the Union referred to in the annual Finance Act;

Examples of Additional Surcharge in a sentence

  • In case Government of India/State Government/ Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission or any competent authority impose any tax/duties/cess, Surcharge, Cross Subsidy Surcharge, Additional Surcharge etc on wheeling of power and activities related thereto, the same shall be paid by company to DISCOM in addition to the above charges.

  • The levy of Additional Surcharge in accordance with Section 42(4) of the Electricity Act 2003 is for compensating DISCOMs towards stranded power purchase cost due to purchase of power by consumers from other sources.

  • During the course of hearing, it was confirmed by the petitioners that distribution licensee is exempted from payment of Cross subsidy Surcharge or Additional Surcharge.

  • Same objection were raised earlier also during the course of determination of Additional Surcharge for FY 2016-17 vide Order dated 1.08.2016 (supra).

  • It is interesting to note that in majority of States no Additional Surcharge is being levied.

  • An attempt has been made to know the extent of Additional Surcharge being recovered in other States in the Country.

Related to Additional Surcharge

  • Surcharge has the meaning set forth in Section 11(a).

  • Incremental property taxes means the taxes as provided in Iowa Code sections 403.19 and 260E.4. “Industry” means a business engaged in interstate or intrastate commerce for the purpose of manufacturing, processing, or assembling products, conducting research and development, or providing services in interstate commerce, but excludes retail, health, or professional services. An industry is a business engaged in activities described as eligible in the Act rather than the generic definition encompassing all businesses in the state doing the same activities. An industry is considered to be a single, corporate entity or operating subdivision. An industry which closes or substantially reduces its operation in one area of the state of Iowa and relocates substantially the same operation in another area of the state is not eligible for a project. This definition does not prohibit a business from expanding its operations in another area of the state provided that existing operations of a similar nature are not

  • Operating Costs means the incremental expenses incurred by the Recipient on account of Project implementation, management, and monitoring, including for office space rental, utilities, and supplies, bank charges, communications, vehicle operation, maintenance, and insurance, building and equipment maintenance, advertising expenses, travel and supervision, salaries of contractual and temporary staff, but excluding salaries, fees, honoraria, and bonuses of members of the Recipient’s civil service.
