Administrative agency or "agency" means each board, bureau, commission,
Adjudicating Authority or “NCLT” shall mean the Hon’ble Chennai Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal;
Adjudicative proceeding means the procedure to be followed in contested cases, as set forth in RSA 541-A:31 through RSA 541-A:36.
Adjudicator means the person named in Appendix 2 of the Contract Agreement, appointed by agreement between the Procuring Entity and the Supplier to make a decision on or to settle any
Executive agency means for DoD, the Department of Defense, the Department of the Army, the Department of the Navy, and the Department of the Air Force.
Adjudicatory hearing means a hearing to determine:
Adjudication means agency process for the formulation of an order;
adjudicating officer means the adjudicating officer appointed under sub-section (1) of section 71;
Appellate Tribunal means the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal referred to in section 109;
Appellate Body means any person or persons authorized by the University Vice President for Student Affairs, Community College Dean of Students, Charter Oak State College Provost or their designee to consider an appeal from a determination by a Hearing Body that a student has violated the Student Code.
the Agency means the Environment Agency;
Appellate Authority means Committee of Directors consisting of Director (Finance) and Director (BD) for works centers under Director (Projects). For all other cases committee of Directors shall consist of Director (Finance) & Director (Projects).
Competent Court of Law means any court or tribunal or any similar judicial or quasi- judicial body in India that has jurisdiction to adjudicate upon issues relating to this Agreement;
Authority ICT System means the Authority’s computing environment (consisting of hardware, software and/or telecommunications networks or equipment) used by the Authority or the Contractor in connection with the Contract which is owned by or licensed to the Authority by a third party and which interfaces with the Contractor ICT System or which is necessary for the Authority to receive the Services.
Enforcement agency means any agency granted authority to enforce the Federal labor laws. It includes the enforcement components of DOL (Wage and Hour Division, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board. It also means a State agency designated to administer an OSHA-approved State Plan, but only to the extent that the State agency is acting in its capacity as administrator of such plan. It does not include other Federal agencies which, in their capacity as contracting agencies, conduct investigations of potential labor law violations. The enforcement agencies associated with each labor law under E.O. 13673 are–
Special Court means a Court of Session designated as Special Court under sub-section (1) of section 43;
enforcement authority means any person or body having jurisdiction to enforce or to take action under or in respect of the relevant legal requirement.
County agency means the county social service board.
Banking office means a principal office or authorized branch of a bank, out-of-state bank, national bank, association, or savings bank.
Third Party Action has the meaning set forth in Section 9.2.
Lead Agency means the agency facilitating the procurement and establishing the Contract.
Appellate Decision-maker means a person who considers and decides appeals of determinations regarding responsibility and dismissals of formal complaints. The Appellate Decision-maker cannot be the same person as the Title IX Coordinator, Investigator, or Decision-maker. The Appellate Decision-maker may be a school district employee, or a third party designated by the school district.
Tribal Court means a court with jurisdiction over child custody proceedings and that is either a Court of Indian Offenses, a court established and operated under the code of custom of an Indian tribe or any other administrative body of a tribe that is vested with authority over child custody proceedings.
Federal Court means the Federal Court of Australia.
Court of competent jurisdiction means a federal court, or a state court that entered an order in a child custody proceeding involving an Indian child, as long as the state court had proper subject matter jurisdiction in accordance with this chapter and the laws of that state, or a tribal court that had or has exclusive or concurrent jurisdiction pursuant to 25 U.S.C. Sec. 1911.
Appellate court means the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, or both, as appropriate.
