Aiding Unit definition

Aiding Unit. A Member Unit furnishing equipment, personnel, and/or services to a Stricken Unit;
Aiding Unit means a MABAS member unit furnishing equipment, personnel or services to a stricken unit.
Aiding Unit means any Unit furnishing equipment, Emergency Responders, or Emergency Services to a Requesting Unit under this Agreement.

Examples of Aiding Unit in a sentence

  • Personnel dispatched to aid a party pursuant to this Agreement shall remain employees of the Aiding Unit.

  • The aid rendered shall be to the extent of available personnel and equipment not required for adequate protection of the territorial limits of the Aiding Unit.

  • The rendering of assistance under the terms of this Agreement shall not be mandatory if local conditions of the Aiding Unit prohibit response.

  • The judgment of the Fire Chief, or his designee, of the Aiding Unit shall be final as to the personnel and equipment available to render aid.

  • Although the Iguaçu National Park effectively protects 187,000 ha of Atlantic Forest in the Southwest of Paraná, there is no comparable protected area in the “Araucaria Zone” in Paraná.

  • It is the responsibility of the Aiding Unit to immediately notify the Stricken Unit of the Aiding Unit’s inability to respond; however, failure to immediately notify the Stricken Unit of such inability to respond shall not constitute evidence of noncompliance with the terms of this Section and no liability may be assigned.

  • The automatic dispatch of an Aiding Unit to a Stricken Community in a predetermined area upon the receipt of a report of an emergency.

  • It is the responsibility of the Aiding Unit to immediately notify the Stricken Unit of the Aiding Unit's inability to respond; however, failure to immediately notify the Stricken Unit of such inability to respond shall not constitute evidence of noncompliance with the terms of this section and no liability may be assigned.

  • Whenever an emergency occurs and conditions are such that the Fire Chief, or his designee, of the Stricken Unit determines it advisable to request aid pursuant to this Agreement he shall notify the Aiding Unit of the nature and location of the emergency and the type and amount of equipment and personnel and/or services requested from the Aiding Unit.

  • Ifmanpower or an Aiding Unit is not available, the Stricken Unit must be promptly notified that no assistance is available.

Related to Aiding Unit

  • Generating Unit means one or more generating equipment combinations typically consisting of prime mover(s), electric generator(s), electric transformer(s), steam generator(s) and air emission control devices.

  • Contracting unit means a municipality or any board, commission, committee, authority or agency, and which has administrative jurisdiction over any district other than a school district, project, or facility, included or operating in whole or in part, within the territorial boundaries of any county or municipality which exercise functions which are appropriate for the exercise by one or more units of local government, and which has statutory power to make purchases and enter into contracts or agreements for the performance of any work or the furnishing or hiring of any materials or supplies usually required, the costs or contract price of which is to be paid with or out of public funds.

  • Existing unit means a unit (including a unit subject to Section 111 of the Act) that commenced commercial operation before November 15, 1990, and that on or after November 15, 1990, served a generator with a nameplate capacity of greater than 25 MWe. Existing unit does not include simple combustion turbines or any unit that on or after November 15, 1990, served only generators with a nameplate capacity of 25 MWe or less. Any existing unit that is modified, reconstructed, or repowered after November 15, 1990, shall continue to be an existing unit.

  • Living unit means a room, apartment, cottage, or other area within a facility set aside for the exclusive use or control of one or more identified residents.

  • Market Monitoring Unit means the consulting or other professional services firm, or other similar entity, retained by the Board, as specified in Section 30.4.2 of Attachment O, that is responsible for carrying out the Core Market Monitoring Functions and the other functions that are assigned to it in Attachment O. The Market Monitoring Unit shall recommend Tariff and market rule changes, but shall not participate in the administration of the ISO’s Tariffs, except as specifically authorized in Attachment O.

  • Trusted Systems include only the following methods of physical delivery: (1) hand-delivery by a person authorized to have access to the Confidential Information with written acknowledgement of receipt; (2) United States Postal Service (“USPS”) first class mail, or USPS delivery services that include Tracking, such as Certified Mail, Express Mail or Registered Mail; (3) commercial delivery services (e.g. FedEx, UPS, DHL) which offer tracking and receipt confirmation; and (4) the Washington State Campus mail system. For electronic transmission, the Washington State Governmental Network (SGN) is a Trusted System for communications within that Network.

  • Net Metering Net metering refers to customers who sell electricity they produce, typically through a rooftop solar panel, back to the utility for credit. If you are a net metering customer, you should not enroll with XOOM because your net metering agreement will not transfer to XOOM once you enroll.

  • Employing unit means any department of the City and, within the Executive and Legislative Departments, any office created by ordinance.

  • Dwelling unit means a single unit providing complete, independent living facilities for one or more persons, including permanent provisions for living, sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation.

  • Net metering system means a facility for the production of electrical energy that does all of the following:

  • Accessory dwelling unit means a habitable living unit added to, created within, or detached from a primary single-family dwelling and contained on one lot.

  • Bargaining Unit Member or “employee” means a University employee who is included in the bargaining unit as defined in Article 2: “Recognition and Scope”.

  • Stormwater management measure means any practice, technology, process, program, or other method intended to control or reduce stormwater runoff and associated pollutants, or to induce or control the infiltration or groundwater recharge of stormwater or to eliminate illicit or illegal non-stormwater discharges into stormwater conveyances.

  • Performance Monitoring System has the meaning given to it in paragraph 1.1.2 in Part B of Schedule 6 (Service Levels, Service Credits and Performance Monitoring);

  • Business Unit means the assets constituting the business or a division or operating unit thereof of any Person.

  • Continuous parameter monitoring system or "CPMS" means all of the equipment necessary to meet the data acquisition and availability requirements of this article, to monitor process and control device operational parameters (for example, control device secondary voltages and electric currents) and other information (for example, gas flow rate, O2 or CO2 concentrations), and to record average operational parameter value(s) on a continuous basis.
