Regulatory Agency means any federal or state agency charged with the supervision or regulation of depository institutions or holding companies of depository institutions, or engaged in the insurance of depository institution deposits, or any court, administrative agency or commission or other authority, body or agency having supervisory or regulatory authority with respect to the Company, the Bank or any of their Subsidiaries.
Insurance Regulatory Authority means, with respect to any Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department or similar Governmental Authority charged with regulating insurance companies or insurance holding companies, in its jurisdiction of domicile and, to the extent that it has regulatory authority over such Insurance Subsidiary, in each other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary conducts business or is licensed to conduct business.
Regulatory Agencies The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency; the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; the Federal Housing Finance Agency; the Securities and Exchange Commission; and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Applicable Insurance Regulatory Authority means, when used with respect to any Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department or similar administrative authority or agency located in (x) the state or other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary is domiciled or (y) to the extent asserting regulatory jurisdiction over such Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department, authority or agency in each state or other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary is licensed, and shall include any Federal insurance regulatory department, authority or agency that may be created in the future and that asserts regulatory jurisdiction over such Insurance Subsidiary.
State regulator means an agency of the state which is empowered to engage in the regulation of construction, alteration, remodeling, building, repair, and other activities subject to the codes adopted pursuant to this chapter.
Insurance Regulator means, with respect to any jurisdiction, the Governmental Authority charged with the supervision of insurance companies in such jurisdiction.
Public safety agency means a functional division of a public agency, county, or the state that provides fire fighting, law enforcement, ambulance, medical, or other emergency services.
Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) means the Government Agency responsible for oversight of public procurement.
City agency means each and every agency, department, board, commission, authority, employee, and/or official acting under the authority of the City, including, without limitation, the City Council and the Planning Commission.
FDA means the United States Food and Drug Administration and any successor agency thereto.
Relevant Electric Retail Regulatory Authority means an entity that has jurisdiction over and establishes prices and policies for competition for providers of retail electric service to end- customers, such as the city council for a municipal utility, the governing board of a cooperative utility, the state public utility commission or any other such entity.
Environmental Protection Agency or "EPA" means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Foreign Financial Regulatory Authority shall have the meaning given by Section 2(a)(50) of the 0000 Xxx.
Investigating Department means any department / division / office of SCI investigating into the conduct of the Entity and shall include the Vigilance Department, “Central Bureau of Investigation, the State Police or any other authority or entity set up by the Central or State Government having powers to investigate”.
Regulatory Authority means any federal, national, multinational, state, county, city, provincial, or local regulatory agency, department, bureau or other governmental entity with authority over the marketing, commercialization, manufacture or sale of a pharmaceutical product in the Territory, including the FDA in the United States and the EMA in the EU.
Sanctioning Authority means [The FA][the [ ] County Football Association Limited].
DP Regulator means any governmental or regulatory body or authority with responsibility for monitoring or enforcing compliance with the Data Protection Laws;
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) means the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission or its duly authorized representatives.
Free appropriate public education means special education and related services that are provided at public expense and under public supervision and direction, and without charge, meet the standards of the Department of Public Instruction, include an appropriate preschool, elementary or secondary school education; and are provided in conformity with an IEP.
Applicable Department means the Personnel Department for employees of the City of Cambridge, the Purchasing Department, with the advice and assistance of the appropriate department which receives the services, for Covered Employers who contract or subcontract with the City of Cambridge, the School Department for employees, contractors and subcontractors of the School Department, and the City Manager’s Office for any other Person who is a Beneficiary of assistance other than a contract or subcontract.
foreign regulatory authority means a securities commission, exchange or other securities market regulatory authority in a designated foreign jurisdiction;
IWAI/ Authority/ Department/ Owner means the Inland Waterways Authority of India, which invites tenders on behalf of the Chairman, IWAI and includes therein-legal representatives, successors and assigns.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Regulator means, with respect to any person, any Government Authority charged with regulating, supervising or examining such person and its Affiliates.
Authorized Government Agency means a regulatory body or government agency, with jurisdiction over PJM, the PJM Market, or any entity doing business in the PJM Market, including, but not limited to, the Commission, State Commissions, and state and federal attorneys general.
Health Agency means the California Department of Health Services, or the local health officer with respect to a small water system.
