Appropriate Transmission Utility definition

Appropriate Transmission Utility means the ‘Central Transmission Utility’ (CTU) or the ‘State Transmission Utility’ (STU), as the case may be;

  • It shall be the responsibility of the Appropriate Transmission Utility or Distribution licensee to take down the meter reading and record the metered data, maintain database of all the information associated with the interface meters and verify the correctness of metered data and furnish the same to various agencies.

  • Insulation coordination of equipment and lines on connection point belonging to MSETCL and the grid shall be accomplished and the co-ordination shall be done by the Appropriate Transmission Utility.

  • The requester or user, as the case may be owning the electrical plant shall provide reasonable access and other required facilities to the licensee or Appropriate Transmission Utility or Appropriate Load Despatch Centre, whose equipment is installed or proposed to be installed at the connection Site for installation, operation and maintenance, etc.

  • The Appropriate Transmission Utility or distribution licensee shall carry out the inter- connection study to determine the point of inter-connection, required inter- connection facilities and modifications required on the existing grids, if any, to accommodate the inter-connection.

  • Every connection of a requester’s system to the grid shall be covered by a connection agreement between the requester and(a) Appropriate Transmission Utility in case of connection to Inter-state transmission system or infra stale transmission system as the case may be;(b) Distribution licensee in case of inter-connection to distribution licensee’s system;(c) Transmission licensee and Transmission Utility, in case of inter-connection to a transmission licensee (tri-partite agreement).B.

  • For inter-connection studies the requester shall make a request for connection in the planning stage to the Appropriate Transmission Utility.

  • Provided that in order to carry out the said study, the requester shall present the mathematical model of the equipment in accordance with the requirements as stipulated by the Appropriate Transmission Utility or distribution licensee, as the case may be.

  • The requester and user shall prepare single line schematic diagrams in respect of its system facility and make the same available to the Appropriate Transmission Utility or licensee through which his system is connected and the Appropriate Load Despatch Centre.

Related to Appropriate Transmission Utility

  • State Transmission Utility or “STU” shall mean the Board or the Government company notified by the respective State Government under Sub-section (1) of Section 39 of the Act;

  • STU or State Transmission Utility means the State Transmission Utility notified by respective State Government under Sub-section (1) of Section 39 of the Act.

  • Central Transmission Utility means the Government Company notified by the Central Government under Sub-Section (1) of Section 38 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

  • Intra-State Transmission System means any system for transmission of electricity other than an Inter-State Transmission System;

  • Qualifying Transmission Upgrade means a proposed enhancement or addition to the Transmission System that: (a) will increase the Capacity Emergency Transfer Limit into an LDA by a megawatt quantity certified by the Office of the Interconnection; (b) the Office of the Interconnection has determined will be in service on or before the commencement of the first Delivery Year for which such upgrade is the subject of a Sell Offer in the Base Residual Auction; (c) is the subject of a Facilities Study Agreement executed before the conduct of the Base Residual Auction for such Delivery Year and (d) a New Service Customer is obligated to fund through a rate or charge specific to such facility or upgrade.

  • CTU or Central Transmission Utility means the Central Transmission Utility as defined in sub-section (10) of Section 2 of the Electricity Act 2003;

  • Incremental Rights-Eligible Required Transmission Enhancements means Regional Facilities and Necessary Lower Voltage Facilities or Lower Voltage Facilities (as defined in Tariff, Schedule 12) and meet one of the following criteria: (1) cost responsibility is assigned to non-contiguous Zones that are not directly electrically connected; or (2) cost responsibility is assigned to Merchant Transmission Providers that are Responsible Customers.

  • Transmission pipeline means any high pressure transmission pipeline connected to, but excluding the Maui Pipeline, that is used for the open access transportation of Gas, and includes all items of plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings directly appurtenanced to that pipeline, but excluding any item which is controlled by a party other than that pipeline’s TP Welded Party and any low pressure distribution system.

  • Merchant Transmission Facilities means A.C. or D.C. transmission facilities that are interconnected with or added to the Transmission System pursuant to Tariff, Part IV and Tariff, Part VI and that are so identified in Tariff, Attachment T, provided, however, that Merchant Transmission Facilities shall not include (i) any Customer Interconnection Facilities, (ii) any physical facilities of the Transmission System that were in existence on or before March 20, 2003 ; (iii) any expansions or enhancements of the Transmission System that are not identified as Merchant Transmission Facilities in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan and Tariff, Attachment T, or (iv) any transmission facilities that are included in the rate base of a public utility and on which a regulated return is earned.

  • Energy Transmission Injection Rights means the rights to schedule energy deliveries at a specified point on the Transmission System. Energy Transmission Injection Rights may be awarded only to a Merchant D.C. Transmission Facility that connects the Transmission System to another control area. Deliveries scheduled using Energy Transmission Injection Rights have rights similar to those under Non-Firm Point-to-Point Transmission Service.

  • Capacity Transmission Injection Rights means the rights to schedule energy and capacity deliveries at a Point of Interconnection of a Merchant Transmission Facility with the Transmission System. Capacity Transmission Injection Rights may be awarded only to a Merchant D.C. Transmission Facility and/or Controllable A.C. Merchant Transmission Facilities that connects the Transmission System to another control area. Deliveries scheduled using Capacity Transmission Injection Rights have rights similar to those under Firm Point-to-Point Transmission Service or, if coupled with a generating unit external to the PJM Region that satisfies all applicable criteria specified in the PJM Manuals, similar to Capacity Interconnection Rights.

  • Regional Transmission Organization or “RTO” means the regional transmission organization approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for the control area that includes the utility’s assigned service area (as defined in IC 8-1-2.3-2).

  • Transmission Loading Relief means NERC’s procedures for preventing operating security limit violations, as implemented by PJM as the security coordinator responsible for maintaining transmission security for the PJM Region.

  • Transmission links are the means used for inter-connecting distributed units for the purpose of conveying signals, operating data or an energy supply. This equipment is generally electrical but may, in some part, be mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic.

  • Interregional Transmission Project means transmission facilities that would be located within two or more neighboring transmission planning regions and are determined by each of those regions to be a more efficient or cost effective solution to regional transmission needs.

  • Merchant Transmission Provider means an Interconnection Customer that (1) owns, controls, or controls the rights to use the transmission capability of, Merchant D.C. Transmission Facilities and/or Controllable A.C. Merchant Transmission Facilities that connect the Transmission System with another control area, (2) has elected to receive Transmission Injection Rights and Transmission Withdrawal Rights associated with such facility pursuant to Tariff, Part IV, section 36, and (3) makes (or will make) the transmission capability of such facilities available for use by third parties under terms and conditions approved by the Commission and stated in the Tariff, consistent with Tariff, Part IV, section 38.

  • Transmission Provider means any entity or entities transmitting or transporting the Product on behalf of Seller or Buyer to or from the Delivery Point.

  • Transmission Reliability Margin or “TRM” shall mean the amount of transmission transfer capability necessary to provide reasonable assurance that the interconnected transmission network will be secure. TRM accounts for the inherent uncertainty in system conditions and the need for operating flexibility to ensure reliable system operation as system conditions change.

  • Local Loop Transmission “Unbundled Local Loop”, “Loop” means the transmission path which extends from the Network Interface Device or demarcation point at an End User’s premise to the Main Distribution Frame or other designated frame or panel in the SBC-AMERITECH Serving Wire Center.

  • Transmission Facilities shall have the meaning set forth in the Operating Agreement.

  • Annual Transmission Costs means the total annual cost of the Transmission System for purposes of Network Integration Transmission Service shall be the amount specified in Attachment H for each Zone until amended by the applicable Transmission Owner or modified by the Commission.

  • P.01 Transmission Grade of Service (“GOS”) means a trunk facility provisioning standard with the statistical probability of no more than one call in 100 blocked on initial attempt during the average busy hour.

  • Money transmission means any of the following:

  • Transmission Injection Rights means Capacity Transmission Injection Rights and Energy Transmission Injection Rights.

  • Transmission Business means the authorised business of a transmission licensee to transmit electricity, whether for its own account or for that of any other person, through any system owned and/ or operated by such licensee;

  • Transmission Interconnection Customer means an entity that submits an Interconnection Request to interconnect or add Merchant Transmission Facilities to the Transmission System or to increase the capacity of Merchant Transmission Facilities interconnected with the Transmission System in the PJM Region or an entity that submits an Upgrade Request for Merchant Network Upgrades (including accelerating the construction of any transmission enhancement or expansion, other than Merchant Transmission Facilities, that is included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan prepared pursuant to Operating Agreement, Schedule 6).
