Asbestos inspection means any activity undertaken to identify the presence and location, or to assess the condition, of asbestos-containing material or suspected asbestos-containing material, by visual or physical examination, or by collecting samples of the material. This term includes re-inspections of the type described in AHERA, 40 CFR 763.85(b), of known or assumed asbestos-containing material which has been previously identified.
