Associated Transit Improvement definition

Associated Transit Improvement means, with respect to a Project or an area to be served by a Project, an activity that is designed to enhance transit service or use and that is physically or functionally related to transit facilities.
Associated Transit Improvement has a meaning that is substantially similar to the meaning of “transit enhancement” as used in SAFETEA-LU, but associated transit improvements eligible for funding under MAP-21 differ from transit enhancements eligible for funding under SAFETEA-LU. A list of associated transit improvements eligible for funding under MAP-21 is set forth in 49 U.S.C. § 5302(1), as amended by MAP-21.
