Auxiliary firing definition

Auxiliary firing means the combustion of additional fuel downstream of a gas turbine for the purpose of adding thermal energy to the exhaust gases which can be recovered in a waste heat recovery unit.
Auxiliary firing means combustion of a fuel that sup- plements the primary fuel, when more than 5% of an affected unit’s heat input is provided by the supplemental fuel.
