AVD definition

AVD means the ad valorem stamp duty chargeable on the Preliminary Agreement and the Agreement for Sale and Purchase under the Stamp Duty Ordinance.

  • If a particular provision of (b) was violated, include a description of it in the AVD.

  • Unless specifically exempted or otherwise provided by law, any instrument executed on or after 12 April 2017 for the sale and purchase or transfer of residential property, if covering more than one residential property, will be subject to AVD at New Rate even though those residential properties are acquired by a HKPR who is acting on his/her own behalf and does not own any other residential property in Hong Kong at the time of acquisition.
