Awning or Canopy definition

Awning or Canopy means either a permanent or retractable structural extension off or of a building, sometimes intended for the purpose of pedestrian cover.

Examples of Awning or Canopy in a sentence

  • Shall not extend over any portion of the Sidewalk within two (2’) feet of the curb where said Awning or Canopy has a minimum vertical clearance of fifteen (15’) feet or greater above the Sidewalk.

  • Shall maintain a minimum vertical clearance of eight feet (8’) above the Sidewalk and shall not extend into or occupy more than two-thirds (2/3) of the width of the Sidewalk measured from the building where said Awning or Canopy has a vertical clearance of less than fifteen feet (15’) above the Sidewalk.
