Balloon Loan definition

Balloon Loan. Any Mortgage Loan which, by its terms, does not fully amortize the principal balance thereof by its stated maturity and thus requires a payment at the stated maturity larger than the monthly payments due thereunder.
Balloon Loan. A Mortgage Loan having an original term to stated maturity of approximately 15 years which provides for level monthly payments of principal and interest based on a 30-year amortization schedule, with a balloon payment of the remaining outstanding principal balance due on such Mortgage Loan at its stated maturity.
Balloon Loan. Each of the Mortgage Loans having an original term to maturity that is shorter than the related amortization term.

  • If a Mortgagor does not pay its final Scheduled Payment on a Balloon Loan when due, the Servicer shall Advance (unless it determines in its good faith judgment that such amounts would constitute a Non-Recoverable Advance) a full month of interest (net of the Servicing Fee) on the Stated Principal Balance thereof each month until its Stated Principal Balance is reduced to zero.

  • The Servicer may, in its sole discretion, make an Advance with respect to the principal portion of the final Scheduled Payment on a Balloon Loan, but the Servicer is under no obligation to do so; provided, however, that nothing in this sentence shall affect the Servicer's obligation under this Section 4.01 to Advance the interest portion of the final Scheduled Payment with respect to a Balloon Loan as if such Balloon Loan were a fully amortizing Mortgage Loan.

More Definitions of Balloon Loan

Balloon Loan. Any Mortgage Loan that provided on the date of origination for an amortization schedule extending beyond its stated maturity date.
Balloon Loan. Any Mortgage Loan or Serviced Companion Loan that by its original terms or by virtue of any modification provides for an amortization schedule extending beyond its Maturity Date, unless such extension results solely from the accrual of interest on the basis of the actual number of days elapsed in a year of 360 days, notwithstanding calculation of Monthly Payments based on a 360-day year consisting of twelve 30-day months.
Balloon Loan. Any Mortgage Loan that requires only payments of interest until the stated maturity date of the Mortgage Loan or Scheduled Payments of principal which (not including the payment due on its stated maturity date) are based on an amortization schedule that would be insufficient to fully amortize the principal thereof by the stated maturity date of the Mortgage Loan.

Balloon Loan. Each of the Mortgage Loans identified in the Mortgage Loan Schedule as having an original term to maturity that is shorter than the related amortization term.
Balloon Loan means a Mortgage Loan, A/B Whole Loan or Loan Pair that provides for Scheduled Payments based on an amortization schedule that is significantly longer than its term to maturity and that is expected to have a remaining principal balance equal to or greater than 5% of its Cut-Off Date Principal Balance as of its stated maturity date, unless prepaid prior thereto.
Balloon Loan. A Mortgage Loan for which the Monthly Payments will not fully amortize the loan by the end of the term, at which time the balance of the principal is due in a lump sum.
