Bank Levy definition

Bank Levy means the bank levy which is imposed under section 73 of, and schedule 19 to, the Finance Xxx 0000 (the “UK Bank Levy”) and any levy or Tax of an equivalent nature imposed in any jurisdiction in a similar context or for a similar reason to that in and/or which the UK Bank Levy has been imposed by reference to the equity and liability of a financial institution or other person carrying out financial transactions.

Bank Levy means any amount payable by any Lender or any of their respective Affiliates on the basis of or in relation to its balance sheet or capital base or any part of it or its liabilities or minimum regulatory capital or any combination thereof, including the U.K. bank levy as implemented by section 73 of and schedule 19 to the Finance Xxx 0000, and, in relation to any Lender, any Tax in any jurisdiction levied on a similar basis or for a similar purpose (and imposed by reference to assets and/or liabilities).
Bank Levy means the UK bank levy as set out in Schedule 19 to the Finance Xxx 0000.
Bank Levy means the bank levy set out in Part 5 of, and Schedule 19 to, the Finance Xxx 0000 (UK) and the Dutch bank levy as set out in the Dutch Bank Levy Act (Wet bankenbelasting)/or any similar levy imposed under the laws of a jurisdiction other than the United Kingdom and The Netherlands, in each case, which has been publicly announced or is in force at the date of this Agreement.

Bank Levy. (a) the UK bank levy as set out in the United Kingdom Finance Act 2011, (b) the bank levy imposed by the French Government under the “taxe bancaire de risque systémique” as set out in Article 235 ter ZE of the French tax code (Code Général des Impôts), (c) the bank levy imposed by the German Government under the Bank Restructuring Fund Regulation (Restrukturierungsfonds-Verordnung) which has been issued pursuant to the provisions of the Bank Restructuring Fund Act (Restrukturierungsfondsgesetz), (d) the bank levy imposed by the French Government under the “taxe pour le financement du fonds de soutien aux collectivités territoriales” as set out in Article 235 ter ZE bis of the French tax code (Code Général des Impôts) and (e) any other Tax of a similar nature in any jurisdiction, which is imposed by reference to some or all of the assets, liabilities and/or equity of a financial institution or other entity carrying out financial transactions and which is in force or has been publicly announced at the Closing Date or (if applicable), in respect of any Lender, which becomes a party to this Agreement after the Closing Date, as at the date that Lender becomes a party to this Agreement.
Bank Levy means, (a) the UK Bank Levy; or (b) any bank levy of any jurisdiction other than the UK in force as of the date of this Agreement which does not differ materially from the proposals for the design of levies on financial institutions as set out by the International Monetary Fund in the paper “A fair and substantial contribution by the financial sector” published in June 2012 and which is charged wholly or mainly by reference to the balance sheet of a Lender and/or any member of a group of such a Lender.
