Building Backup definition

Building Backup means a wastewater release or backup into a building that is caused by blockages, flow conditions, or other malfunctions in the WCTS. A wastewater backup or release that is caused by blockages, flow conditions, or other malfunctions of a Private Lateral is not a Building Backup.
Building Backup means a release from the Collection System, through a lateral to a building or structure.
Building Backup means a release of wastewater into a building or onto private property that is caused by blockages, flow conditions, or other malfunctions in the WCTS. A wastewater backup or release that is caused by blockages, flow conditions, or other malfunctions of a Private Lateral or other piping/conveyance system that is not owned or operationally controlled by Columbia is not a Building Backup.

Examples of Building Backup in a sentence

  • With respect to Building Backups, the repair and mitigation procedures shall include measures necessary to disinfect and/or remove items potentially contaminated by the Building Backup.

  • The report will list city blocks or geographical areas of the City that have reported and/or experienced more than one Building Backup which occurred during periods of high flow and/or rainfall, and will identify the measures or projects implemented pursuant to this Consent Decree between the Date of Entry of this Decree and January 1, 2021 that address the primary causes of recurring Building Backups in those areas.

More Definitions of Building Backup

Building Backup means a wastewater backup into a building that is caused by blockages, malfunctions, or flow conditions in the WCTS; provided, however, that a wastewater backup into a building that is caused by a blockage or other malfunction of a Private Lateral, or other piping or conveyance system that the County does not own or operate is not a Building Backup.
Building Backup means a wastewater or sewage release or backup into a building that is caused by blockages, flow conditions, or other malfunctions in the Collection System. A sewage backup or release is not a Building Backup if: 1) it is caused by blockages, flow conditions, or other malfunctions of a Private Lateral or other piping/conveyance system that is not owned or operationally controlled by Baltimore; or 2) is the result of overland, surface flooding not emanating from the Collection System.
Building Backup means an accumulation of sewage in any public or private building caused by blockage, failure or other hydraulic constraint in the sewage collection system or by blockage or failure of the building sewer or private interceptor main sewer.
Building Backup means a wastewater backup occurring into a building that is caused by blockages, flow conditions, or malfunctions in the Sanitary Sewer
