Bulk density definition

Bulk density means the weight of solids, air and water per unit volume. Bulk density is expressed in kilograms per cubic metre (kg/m3), in general. The void spaces in the cargo may be filled with air and water.
Bulk density means the mass of a unit volume of powder, usually expressed in grams per cubic centimetre (g/cm3) or kilograms per cubic metre (kg/m3). It is determined by a specific method. Apparent density is an alternative, but less commonly used, term for bulk density. (See also density).
Bulk density means dry weight per unit of volume.
