Card blocking definition

Card blocking means each simultaneous unilateral cancellation of the Card’s servicing on the part of the Company, as a result of which the Card can no longer be operated with.
Card blocking means a temporary suspension of the ability to perform transactions with a Payment Card or a temporary deactivation of a specific functionality thereof;

Examples of Card blocking in a sentence

  • The Customer and Company hereby con- sent to Swisscard retrieving their information from the Central Office for Credit Information (“ZEK”) and notifying the ZEK of any Card blocking, serious payment arrears, or mis- use of the Card by the Customer and/or Company.

  • If the Card had been blocked at the initiative of the Bank, we shall lift the block on the same day when the reasons for Card blocking are discharged, unless otherwise envisaged under these Terms and Conditions and the General Terms and Conditions of the Bank.

  • The fees can be charged for the Card blocking and the Card replacement in case the Card was lost according to the Bank’s pricelist.

  • The loan principal shall fall due on the date of the Card blocking.

  • The Bank will record the Card blocking time – local time – in the Bank's computer system and will make available to the Account Holder/Cardholder, upon request, the proof of registration of his/her notification up to 18 months afterwards.

  • The Bank shall cover the damages incurred due to theft, loss or fraudulent use of the Card from the date of the Card blocking, except when the damage was incurred due to the Cardholder’s negligent conduct.

  • It shall not be indemnified also in cases when the Customer could, but has failed to provide the safety of funds on the Card Account (including setting the spending limits for Transactions with the Card or timely applying for a Card blocking; providing his/her approval of the Transaction to the Bank, when the Bank addresses additional information to the Customer; the Customer waives the right to pursue claims in respect of this Transaction or to claim damages).

  • The Cardholder agrees that the Bank may prevent the use of Card (Card blocking), if the Cardholder / Card User acts contrary to the provisions of the Framework Agreement, if there are reasonable grounds relating to the security of the Card, if there is suspicion of an unauthorized use of the Card or its use for fraudulent purposes, or if there is increasing risk that the Cardholder will not be able to fulfill its payment obligation when it comes to use of the Card.

  • The User agrees that the Bank may disable the use of the Card (Card blocking), if the User of the Card has acted in opposition to the provisions of the Framework Contract, if there are justified reasons relating to the security of the Card, if there is suspicion of an unauthorised use of the Card or its use to commit fraud, or if there is an increased risk that the User will not be able to settle their payment liability relating to the use of the Card.

  • If the Card had been blocked at the initiative of the Bank, we shall lift the block or the freeze on the same day when the reasons for Card blocking or freezing are discharged (including on the basis of information received from you), unless otherwise envisaged under these Terms and Conditions and the General Terms and Conditions of the Bank.

Related to Card blocking

  • Executive Order No. 13224 means the Executive Order No. 13224 on Terrorist Financing, effective September 24, 2001, as the same has been, or shall hereafter be, renewed, extended, amended or replaced.

  • Card means the Visa credit card and any duplicates, renewals, or substitutions the Credit Union issues to you; "account" means your Visa credit card line-of-credit account with the Credit Union; and "Credit Union" means the Credit Union whose name appears on this Agreement or anyone to whom the Credit Union transfers this Agreement.

  • Executive Order shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 3.22.

  • Cards means either a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card, debit card (or other similar card that requires a PIN for identification purposes), or pre-paid, stored-value or gift card.

  • Debit Card Transaction means an electronic payment using a Card for the purchase of goods or services (which can include payment for CashBack), by a Cardholder, to a Retailer displaying the Visa logo and/or who is in the Visa Scheme.

  • Credit Card Agreements means all agreements now or hereafter entered into by any Borrower or any Guarantor for the benefit of any Borrower, in each case with any Credit Card Issuer or any Credit Card Processor, as the same now exist or may hereafter be amended, modified, supplemented, extended, renewed, restated or replaced, including, but not limited to, the agreements set forth on Schedule 8.16 hereto.

  • Credit Card Issuer means any Person (other than a Loan Party) who issues or whose members issue credit cards or debit cards, including, without limitation, MasterCard or VISA bank credit or debit cards or other bank credit or debit cards issued through MasterCard International, Inc., Visa, U.S.A., Inc. or Visa International and American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Xxxxx Xxxxxxx and other non-bank credit or debit cards, including, without limitation, credit or debit cards issued by or through American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. or Discover Financial Services, Inc.

  • Card Account means the account maintained with the Bank in respect of the Card;

  • Protective order means an order appointing a conservator or other order related to management of an adult's property.

  • Credit card means any card, plate, coupon book, or other credit device ex- isting for the purpose of obtaining money, property, labor, or services on credit.

  • ICA means the Investment Canada Act.

  • Cardholder means an individual, company, firm or other body to whom a Card has been issued at any time and who is authorised to use that Card;
