Cash Deferral definition

Cash Deferral means that portion of the assets of a Participant’s Deferral Account which is attributable to cash-based deferrals made by Participant and investment results earned (or lost) thereon.
Cash Deferral means the deferral of Compensation pursuant to the Program into an obligation of the Company to pay on a future date or dates the deferred Compensation plus interest or earnings thereon determined in the manner set out in the instrument evidencing the Company's obligation. The general terms and conditions applicable to Cash Deferrals are set out on Exhibit A.
Cash Deferral means that portion of the assets of a Participant's Deferral account which is attributable to cash based deferrals made by Participant and investment results earned (or lost) thereon.

Examples of Cash Deferral in a sentence

  • If a yield is required to be paid on any preferred units prior to maturity and any Cash Deferral Conditions exist, such yield may be cumulated and accrued until and to the extent that such prohibition no longer exists.

  • Any senior preferred units or the promissory note shall be redeemed or payable when and to the extent the Cash Deferral Condition which prompted their issuance no longer exists.

  • Any senior preferred shares or the promissory note shall be redeemed or payable when and to the extent the Cash Deferral Condition which prompted their issuance no longer exists.

  • That the distribution of the Cash Deferral Account commence the calendar year following the calendar year of Retirement in up to (10) installments.

  • Notwithstanding Article 4 to the contrary, if an Employee is an Eligible Employee on September 30, 2004, the Employee may make an election under Article 4 on or prior to December 15, 2004, with respect to the establishment of a Cash Deferral Account for the contribution of Base Compensation and/or Incentive Awards that would otherwise be paid during the period from January 1, 2005, through January 15, 2006, which shall be the Plan Year for such Cash Deferral Account.

  • Interest will accrue on unpaid amounts in the Cash Deferral Account from the date credited to such Account.

  • For example, if the Participant elected a 2010 distribution with five (5) installments, but Terminated Employment in 2007, the Cash Deferral Account would commence distribution in 2008.

  • Neither a Participant nor any other person shall have any right to commute, sell, assign, transfer, pledge, anticipate, mortgage, or otherwise encumber, transfer, hypothecate or convey in advance of actual receipt, any Cash Deferral Account under the Plan, if any, or any part thereof, which are, and all rights to which are, expressly declared to be unassignable and non-transferable.

  • The Committee may at any time amend the Plan in whole or in part; provided, however, that no amendment, including but not limited to an amendment to this section, shall be effective, without the consent of a Participant, to alter, to the material detriment of such Participant, any of the Cash Deferral Accounts of the Participant, other than as provided elsewhere in this section.


More Definitions of Cash Deferral

Cash Deferral means any portion of a Director’s Annual Cash Retainer that a Director elects to defer in accordance with the Plan.
Cash Deferral means any portion of Cash Compensation that a Participant has elected to defer in a given Plan Year, as provided in Section 3.2.
Cash Deferral means a deferral in accordance with Section 4.3(b) of the cash portion of the Director Fees payable to an Eligible Director.
Cash Deferral means a Deferred Benefit that is credited to a Non-Employee Director's Deferred Compensation Account as a dollar amount.
Cash Deferral means an amount credited to the Participant in cash pursuant to Section 4.01.
Cash Deferral means that portion of the credits to a Participant’s Deferral Account which is attributable to cash-based deferrals or contributions and hypothetical income and appreciation and depreciation in value thereof.

Related to Cash Deferral

  • Bonus Deferral means the amount of a Participant’s Bonus Compensation which the Participant elects to have withheld on a pre-tax basis from his Bonus Compensation and credited to his account pursuant to Section 4.1.

  • Elective Deferral Account means the account established hereunder to which Elective Deferrals (including a separate accounting for Catch-Up Contributions) are allocated. Amounts in the Participant's Elective Deferral Account are nonforfeitable when made and are subject to the distribution restrictions of Section 12.2(e). The Elective Deferral Account may consist of the

  • Compensation Deferral means the amount or amounts of the Director's Compensation deferred under the provisions of Section 3 of this Agreement.

  • Deferral Account means the Company's accounting of the Director's accumulated Deferrals plus accrued interest.

  • Deferral Contribution means any contribution made to the Plan by the Employer in accordance with the provisions of Section 5.03.

  • Deferred Account means the participant's Deferred Pension Account, Deferred Dividends Account, Deferred Retainer Account, Deferred Fees Account, Deferred Cash Account and/or Deferred Stock Account.

  • Deferral Contributions are Salary Reduction Contributions and Cash or Deferred Contributions the Employer contributes to the Trust on behalf of an Eligible Employee, irrespective of whether, in the case of Cash or Deferred Contributions, the contribution is at the election of the Employee. For Salary Reduction Contributions, the terms "deferral contributions" and "elective deferrals" have the same meaning.

  • Elective Deferral means the portion of Compensation which is deferred by a Participant under Section 4.1.

  • Participant’s Account means an account maintained for each Participant’s participation in DSUs and/or RSUs under the Plan;

  • Matching Contribution Account means that portion of a Participant’s Account established to record Matching Contributions on behalf of a Participant. Matching Contributions shall be deemed to be invested in the Company stock, and a Participant shall not be permitted to elect a different Deemed Crediting Option for such Matching Contributions.

  • Deferral Election means the Participant’s election under Section 3.1 to defer all or a portion of his or her Compensation.

  • Deferral means the amount or amounts of a Participant’s Compensation deferred under the provisions of Section 3.

  • Deferred Compensation Account means the account maintained with respect to each Participant under the Plan. The Deferred Compensation Account shall be credited with Participant Deferral Credits and Employer Credits, credited or debited for deemed investment gains or losses, and adjusted for payments in accordance with the rules and elections in effect under Section 8. The Deferred Compensation Account of a Participant shall include any In-Service or Education Account of the Participant, if applicable.

  • ESOP Account means a Participant’s account to which are credited Matching Contributions made to the Plan after March 31, 1989, and earnings and losses thereon.

  • Non-Elective Contribution means the Employer contributions to the Plan excluding, however, contributions made pursuant to the Participant's deferral election provided for in Section 4.2 and any Qualified Non-Elective Contribution used in the "Actual Deferral Percentage" tests.

  • Deferral Year means each calendar year during which the Director makes, or is entitled to make, Compensation Deferrals under Section 3 hereof.

  • Matching Account means the account maintained on the books of the Employer for the purpose of accounting for the Matching Amount and for the amount of investment return credited thereto for each Participant pursuant to Article V.

  • Employer Contribution Account means, for any Participant, the account established by the Administrator or Trustee to which Employer Contributions made under Section 3.5 for the Participant's benefit are credited.

  • Cash Account has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1(a)(ii).

  • Matching Contribution means an Employer contribution made to this or any other defined contribution plan on behalf of a Participant on account of an Employee Contribution made by such Participant, or on account of a Participant's Elective Deferral, under a plan maintained by the Employer.

  • Rollover Contribution Account means the separate Account maintained for a Member to record such Member's share of the Trust Fund attributable to any Rollover Contribution made to the Plan on his behalf.

  • Distribution Election With respect to any Series, as specified in the related Supplement.

  • Qualified Matching Contribution means any employer contribution allocated to an Eligible Employee's account under any plan of an Employer or a Related Company solely on account of "elective contributions" made on his behalf or "employee contributions" made by him that is a qualified matching contribution as defined in regulations issued under Code Section 401(k), is nonforfeitable when made, and is distributable only as permitted in regulations issued under Code Section 401(k).

  • Deferral Date means the date Fees would otherwise have been paid to the Participant.

  • Company Matching Account means (i) the sum of all of a Participant's Annual Company Matching Amounts, plus (ii) amounts credited in accordance with all the applicable crediting provisions of this Plan that relate to the Participant's Company Matching Account, less (iii) all distributions made to the Participant or his or her Beneficiary pursuant to this Plan that relate to the Participant's Company Matching Account.

  • Deferred Stock Account means a bookkeeping account maintained by the Company for a Participant representing the Participant's interest in the shares credited to such Deferred Stock Account pursuant to Paragraph 7 hereof.
