Building Height means the vertical distance measured in the case of flat roofs, from the average level of the center line of the adjoining street to the highest point of the building adjacent to the street; and in the case of pitched roofs, up to the point where the external surface of the outer wall intersects the finished surface of the sloping roof and in the case of gables facing the road, the midpoint between the eaves level and the ridges:
Ceiling means the height above the ground or water of the base of the lowest layer of cloud below 6 000 m (20 000 ft) covering more than half the sky;
Lowest floor means the lowest floor of the lowest enclosed area (including basement). An unfinished or flood resistant enclosure, usable solely for parking of vehicles, building access, or limited storage in an area other than a basement area is not considered a building's lowest floor, provided that such an enclosure is not built so as to render the structure in violation of the applicable non-elevation design requirements of this ordinance.
Ceiling Rate means, with respect to any Calculation Period, the rate set forth as the “Ceiling Rate” on the attached Schedule I.
Height of building means height measured from the abutting road and in case of undulated terrain height can be considered as average of the corresponding ground level. The parapet wall, staircase head room, lift room, water tank are excluded from the height of the building.
Basement means any area of the building having its floor subgrade (below ground level) on all sides.
Rear Yard means a yard extending across the full width of a parcel measured perpendicularly from the rear wall(s) of the main building situated on the parcel to the rear property boundary of the parcel [see sketch in Schedule B];
Ceiling Amount has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 9.10(a).
Winter means November 1 through March 31.
stacked bicycle parking space means a horizontal bicycle parking space that is positioned above or below another bicycle parking space and equipped with a mechanical device providing floor level access to both bicycle parking spaces.
New Building ’ means a new construction to house a complete motor vehicle as- sembly process, where that construction includes the pouring or construction of a new foundation and floor, the erection of a new frame and roof, and the instal- lation of new plumbing and electrical and other utilities;
Building Common Areas means with respect to the Tower, the areas, facilities and amenities specified in Schedule [E] which are to be used and enjoyed in common with all the other Apartment Acquirers of the Units in the Building; and
State ceiling means the State’s housing credit ceiling established pursuant to Section 42(h)(3)(C) of the Code.
Anti-Ragging Helpline means the Helpline established under clause (a) of Regulation 8.1 of these Regulations.
Perimeter means the fenced or walled area of the institution that restrains the movement of the inmates.
Interior means the spaces, parts, components or elements of an individual dwelling unit.
Parcel 2 COMMON AREA APPURTENANT TO EACH COMMERCIAL UNIT PARCEL 3: NONEXCLUSIVE EASEMENTS PARCEL C (COMPRISING PARCEL 1, PARCEL 2, AND PARCEL 3,) PARCEL 1;
Building Project means the aggregate combined parcel of land on a portion of which are the improvements of which the Premises form a part, with all the improvements thereon, said improvements being a part of the block and lot for tax purposes which are applicable to the aforesaid land.
Parking Lot means a building or land used for the parking or storage of ten or more motorcars or bakkies, or two or more buses or trucks, excluding −
Corridor or "Detroit-Chicago corridor" means the area between Detroit and Chicago within which a high speed rail line is to be located. The corridor shall run between the general geographic areas established by the proposal submitted to the commission.
Patio means an uncovered horizontal structure with a surface height, at any point, no greater than 0.60 metres above grade, intended for use as an outdoor amenity space.
Common Area means all areas and facilities within the Project that are not designated by Landlord for the exclusive use of Tenant or any other lessee or other occupant of the Project, including the parking areas, access and perimeter roads, pedestrian sidewalks, landscaped areas, trash enclosures, recreation areas and the like.
Garage shall have the meaning ascribed to it in Recital H;
Carpet Area means the net usable floor, area of an Flat/Apartment, excluding the area covered by the external walls, areas under services shafts, excluding balcony or verandah area and exclusive open terrace, but includes the area covered by the internal partition walls of the flat/apartment;
Building Plans means the general building plans in respect of the Development or in respect of any part or parts of the Development prepared by the Authorized Person and approved by the Building Authority and includes any amendments thereto from time to time approved by the Building Authority;
Intermodal Rail Yard means a rail facility in which cargo is transferred from drayage truck to train or vice-versa.
