Chief Electrical Inspector where used in the code means the code official.
Chief Electrical Inspector means the person authorized under this chapter to make inspections of electrical installations and work, and to provide expertise for the Building Official in the area of electrical regulations. For the purposes of this ordinance, the Chief Electrical Inspector/Building Inspector IV” shall be called the Chief Electrical Inspector.
Chief Electrical Inspector means “Building Official.”

"Code official" means a person who is appointed and employed by a governmental subdivision who is charged with the administration and enforcement of the state code or codes, and who is registered in accordance with 1986 PA 54, MCL 338.2301 to 338.2313.
