Class I violation definition

Class I violation means failure of a nursing facility or certified nursing facility to comply with one 1959 or more requirements of state or federal law or regulations which creates a situation that presents an 1960 immediate and serious threat to patient health or safety.
Class I violation means any violation of a statute or rule relating to the operation or maintenance of a health facility or agency which presents imminent danger to patients or residents of the facility or agency or which presents a clear hazard to the public health.

Examples of Class I violation in a sentence

  • If, in the matter of any Class I violation, the disciplining authority deems it in the best interest of all concerned to issue only a Verbal Warning, and not to initiate any formal discipline, the disciplining authority may speak to the employee about the specific action deemed to be an offense or violation.

  • Any person who hunts or attempts to hunt alligators without obtaining a permit and/or license as per regulations set forth herein shall be guilty of a Class I violation of MISS.
