Class rate definition

Class rate means a rate that applies on one (1) or more articles according to the class rating to which they are assigned in a classification or tariff of exceptions, or in the class rate tariff.
Class rate. ’ means a rate based upon the classification of articles as shown in the classification. The tariff containing such rates is a ‘‘class rate tariff.’’
Class rate means the rate fixed for a class of commodity in the classification.
