A major information technology project means any Commonwealth information technology project that has a total estimated cost of more than $1 million or that has been designated a major information technology project by the Secretary pursuant to § 2.2-225.
The CIO may also direct the modification, termination, or suspension of any Commonwealth information technology project that, as the result of a periodic review has not met the agreed-to performance measures, or if he otherwise deems such action appropriate and consistent with the terms of any affected contracts.
