Communication Tower definition

Communication Tower means any tower, pole, structure, facility or equipment used for providing telecommunication services or as part of network facilities for telecommunications or for the transmission or reception of radio, television or satellite signals, broadcast or other media of communications;
Communication Tower means a structure for transmitting or receiving television, radio, telephone, internet or other electronic communications which may be regulated by Industry Canada.
Communication Tower means a structure designed to support antennas for telecommunications and broadcasting and may include television, cellular phone, or wireless internet or radio signals. Communication Towers are regulated by Industry Canada however municipal consultation is required and considerations respected.

More Definitions of Communication Tower

Communication Tower or “Tower” means the same thing as wireless communications support structure, except where the context of the usage of the term is clearly applicable to only a tower type of support structure.
Communication Tower means an exterior transmitting device – or group of devices – used to receive and/or to transmit radio-frequency (RF) signals, microwave signals, or other federally-licenced communications energy transmitted from, or to be received by, other antennas. Antenna Systems include the antenna, and may include a supporting tower, mast or other supporting structure, and an equipment shelter. This protocol most commonly refers to the following two types of Antenna Systems:
Communication Tower means any tower or other structure erected for the purpose of radio, television or microwave transmission or line-of-sight relay devices.
Communication Tower means a structure that is used to convey communication, radio, or television signals and may include antennas, dishes or other structures necessary for carrying out this function.
Communication Tower means a new or existing structure, such as a monopole, lattice tower, guyed tower, fire observation tower, or water tower that is designed to support or is capable of supporting equipment used in the transmission or receipt of television broadcast signals, radio wave signals, or electromagnetic radio signals used in the provision of wireless communication service.
Communication Tower means an accessory structure, either freestanding or attached to a building, the purpose of which is to support a telecommunications antenna for transmitting or receiving of television, radio, and internet or telephone communications. For the purposes of this Bylaw, a Communication Tower does not include a structure or use that requires approval from Industry Canada.
Communication Tower means an antenna support structure designed and constructed for the primary purpose of supporting one (1) or more antennas, including a mast, pole, monopole, guyed or lattice tower, freestanding tower or any similar structure.
