Community Peace Officer means a Person appointed as such under the Police Act.
Nothing in this bylaw shall prevent any Community Peace Officer from issuing a ticket requiring a court appearance of the defendant, pursuant to the provisions of the Provincial Offences Procedure Act or from laying an information in lieu of issuing a Town Notice of Offence.
Where a Community Peace Officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a person has contravened any provision of this Bylaw, the Officer may serve upon such person an offence ticket allowing the payment of the penalty to the Town in lieu of prosecution for the offence under the Act.
