Compensatory Holiday definition

Compensatory Holiday means holiday given to an employee in lieu of a Sunday or other holiday on which he is required to perform his duty;

Examples of Compensatory Holiday in a sentence

  • A maximum of 80 hours of Compensatory Holiday Time will be paid at this time.

  • Vacation (all types), Compensatory, Holiday (all types), Paid Military Training Leave, Professional Recognition Leave, Paid Parental Leave or Compensatory Time.

  • If a member does not have 80 hours of Compensatory Holiday Time, regular compensatory time may be added to get a total of 80 hours in the December payment.

Related to Compensatory Holiday

  • Statutory Holiday means New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day; and

  • Holiday means the twenty-four (24) hour period commencing at 0001 hours of a day designated as a paid holiday in this Agreement.

  • Carrier Holiday as herein used means a day on which Carrier’s office is closed for business.

  • public holiday means any day other than Saturday or Sunday on which the banks in the City of London are not open for business;

  • Legal Holiday means a Saturday, a Sunday or a day on which banking institutions in the City of New York or at a place of payment are authorized by law, regulation or executive order to remain closed. If a payment date is a Legal Holiday at a place of payment, payment may be made at that place on the next succeeding day that is not a Legal Holiday, and no interest shall accrue for the intervening period.
