Contingent Member State definition

Contingent Member State means a state or other governmental authority that has petitioned for membership in the SSUTA and has been found to be in compliance with the requirements of the SSUTA pursuant to Sections 804 and 805 of the SSUTA, except that the changes to their statutes, rules, regulations or other authorities necessary to bring them into compliance are not yet in effect and therefore has been designated as a Contingent Member State pursuant to Section 801.2 of the SSUTA.

  • The allowance set forth in this Rule is in addition to any discount afforded by a Member State, Contingent Member State or Associate Member State.

  • Nothing in this Rule shall be construed to modify federal or state law regarding a Seller’s responsibility to collect or remit sales or use tax to a Member State, Contingent Member State or Associate Member State.

  • Failure to provide any such monetary allowance may subject a Member State, Contingent Member State or Associate Member State to sanctions for noncompliance pursuant to Section 809 of the SSUTA.

  • A Contingent Member State and an Associate Member State may not receive information from the Governing Board on companies being audited by the Governing Board unless the State is a part of the audit.

  • If a Volunteer Seller loses its status as a Volunteer Seller in a Member State, Contingent Member State or Associate Member State for any reason, the Contractor shall not be required to refund compensation retained prior to notification of the change in status.

  • The Executive Director shall notify each Member State, Contingent Member State and Associate Member State of any Sellers to whom a Contractor has indicated they are not providing CSP services.

  • If the Contractor enters into a contract with a state or government authority that is not a Member State, Contingent Member State or Associate Member State (“Non-Member State Contract”), to provide sales tax collection and remittance services for that state or government authority, the Contractor shall provide a copy of that contract to the Governing Board within ten (10) business days of the execution date of that contract.

  • In addition, each year, on a date chosen by the Contractor, the Contractor shall obtain from each Seller a statement of its status in each Member State, Contingent Member State and Associate Member State, unless the Contractor obtained this statement within the previous 6 months from that Seller.

Related to Contingent Member State

  • Relevant Member State means each Member State of the European Economic Area which has implemented the Prospectus Directive, except Luxembourg; and

  • host Member State means the Member State other than the home Member State in which a payment service provider has an agent or a branch or provides payment services;

  • EU Member State means a member state of the EU;

  • Non-member state means: a state that has not enacted this compact.

  • Member State means a member state of the European Union.

  • Participating Member State means any member state of the European Union that has the Euro as its lawful currency in accordance with legislation of the European Union relating to Economic and Monetary Union.

  • home Member State means either of the following:

  • Member Country means the member of the Association in whose territory the Project is carried out or any such member’s political or administrative subdivisions.”

  • parent institution in a Member State means an institution in a Member State which has a institution or a financial institution as a subsidiary or which holds a participation in such an institution, and which is not itself a subsidiary of another institution authorised in the same Member State, or of a financial holding company or mixed financial holding company set up in the same Member State.

  • Student Member means the member of ICCB who has been selected by ICCB's Student Advisory Committee. The student member has all the privileges of membership defined in Section 2-3 of the Act.

  • Bargaining Unit Member or “employee” means a University employee who is included in the bargaining unit as defined in Article 2: “Recognition and Scope”.

  • Agent Member means any member of, or participant in, the Depositary.

  • parent mixed financial holding company in a Member State means a mixed financial holding company which is not itself a subsidiary of an institution authorised in the same Member State, or of a financial holding company or mixed financial holding company set up in that same Member State;

  • Non Associated Natural Gas or “NANG” means Natural Gas which is produced either without association of Crude Oil or in association with such quantities of Crude Oil which by itself cannot be commercially produced.

  • Agent Members has the meaning provided in Section 2.07(a).

  • Close Associate of a Senior Foreign Political Figure means a person who is widely and publicly known internationally to maintain an unusually close relationship with the Senior Foreign Political Figure, and includes a person who is in a position to conduct substantial domestic and international financial transactions on behalf of the Senior Foreign Political Figure;

  • Global warming potential means how much a given mass of a chemical contributes to global warming over a given time period compared to the same mass of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide's global warming potential is defined as 1.0.

  • Economic Sanctions refers to sanctions imposed by the U.S. government in response to Russia’s actions in Ukraine, as well as any sanctions imposed under state law. The EO directs state agencies to terminate contracts with, and to refrain from entering any new contracts with, individuals or entities that are determined to be a target of Economic Sanctions. Accordingly, should the State determine Contractor is a target of Economic Sanctions or is conducting prohibited transactions with sanctioned individuals or entities, that shall be grounds for termination of this agreement. The State shall provide Contractor advance written notice of such termination, allowing Contractor at least 30 calendar days to provide a written response. Termination shall be at the sole discretion of the State.

  • parent financial holding company in a Member State means a financial holding company which is not itself a subsidiary of an institution authorised in the same Member State, or of a financial holding company or mixed financial holding company set up in the same Member State;

  • Management Member means any Member that is an employee of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.

  • Unit Member refers to any employee who is included in the bargaining unit as defined in Article II.

  • Economic Sanctions Laws means those laws, executive orders, enabling legislation or regulations administered and enforced by the United States pursuant to which economic sanctions have been imposed on any Person, entity, organization, country or regime, including the Trading with the Enemy Act, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the Iran Sanctions Act, the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act and any other OFAC Sanctions Program.

  • Treaty on European Union means the Treaty of Rome of March 25, 1957, as amended by the Single Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000 and the Maastricht Treaty (which was signed at Maastricht on February 1, 1992 and came into force on November 1, 1993), as amended from time to time.
