Continuing pharmacy education definition

Continuing pharmacy education or “CPE” means a structured educational activity that is applicable to the practice of pharmacy, that promotes problem solving and critical thinking, and that is designed or intended to support the continuing development of pharmacists to maintain and enhance their competence in the practice of pharmacy.
Continuing pharmacy education means professional, pharmaceutical post-graduate education in the general areas of socio-economic and legal aspects of health care; the properties and actions of drugs and dosage forms; and the etiology, characteristics and therapeutics of the disease state.
Continuing pharmacy education. (“CPE”) means planned and accredited learning experiences beyond a formal degree program designed to promote the continual development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes on the part of the pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
