Pharmacy Technicians. Pharmacy Technicians shall be licensed by the California Board of Pharmacy pursuant to current laws and regulations. Employees shall be selected for the position of pharmacy technician on the basis of ability and skill, and where they are relatively equal, seniority shall govern. The Employer believes that the safety of its customers and the public is the fundamental guiding concern behind the establishment of this classification. To this end, the Employer shall provide mandatory training, on Employer time, as required by the regulation, for those individuals who are selected for the classification of pharmacy technician. Because of safety and quality control factors, the pharmacy technicians will be subject to the immediate and personal supervision of a registered pharmacist. Immediate and personal supervision in the case of a pharmacy technician requires that a pharmacist verify and document any function performed by a pharmacy technician in connection with all activities surrounding the dispensing of a prescription. It is understood and agreed that pharmacists, as trained professionals, have the ultimate responsibility for dispensing prescriptions. If any of the above becomes a conflict with the regulations of the California Board of Pharmacy, regulation shall control. The Employer agrees to provide additional training at its own cost in the event new laws or regulations mandate such training.
Pharmacy Technicians. (a) A Pharmacy Technician and Trainee Pharmacy Technician shall receive an annual rate of salary as approved by the Employer for the position held according to the scale below:
Pharmacy Technicians. Employees shall be allowed paid time to complete up to the required twenty (20) hours of continuing pharmacy education hours for each two (2) year license renewal cycle. Employees must get approval from their manager before scheduling continuing pharmacy education. Continuing pharmacy education shall occur on-site, during an employee’s regularly scheduled work shift, and shall not result in overtime. 11.6.1 Progression through the steps will be on an annual basis, on the employee’s anniversary date. Progression does not occur beyond the top auto step (7).
11.6.2 Movement into the designated salary scales and movement through the designated salary scale is by appointment to a higher graded position. Progression does not occur between the designated salary scales.

Pharmacy Technicians. Section 176. Pharmacy Techs/Tuition Reimbursement The Company will allow certified pharmacy technicians to obtain his/her continuing education credits with all expenses to be paid by the Company at the organization designated by the Company. The Company will reimburse certified pharmacy technicians up to fifty dollars ($50.00) for recertification fees required every two (2) years.
Pharmacy Technicians. Pharmacy Technicians who are trained and work in the chemo/iv room for a minimum of two hours during a shift shall receive this differential of for the full shift, when assigned by the Employer. Differential will not be paid while the Technician is orienting or on PTO. If there are no volunteers to be trained to work in the chemo/iv room, the Employer may determine, in its sole discretion, Pharmacy Technicians to be assigned into the chemo/iv room. The eligibility for this differential will begin on the first full pay period following July 1, 2020 in the amount of $1.50 per hour. Beginning on the first full pay period following July 1, 2021, the differential shall increase to $2 per hour.
Pharmacy Technicians. Pharmacy technicians without the necessary certificate or diploma will receive two ($2.00) dollars per hour less that the posted rates. Start
