Continuously Hospitalized definition

Continuously Hospitalized means the Covered Person is hospitalized at some point before the end of the 24 month period, but not necessarily from the beginning of the benefit period, and is discharged some time after the end of the 24 month period. Benefits will continue while he/she is hospitalized but not beyond the Maximum Benefit Period.
Continuously Hospitalized means you are hospitalized at some point before the end of the month period, but not necessarily from the beginning of the benefit period, and are discharged some time after the end of the month period. Benefits will continue while you are hospitalized but not beyond the normal plan limits.

Examples of Continuously Hospitalized in a sentence

  • If the Covered Person is Totally Disabled at the end of the 24th month for which Long Term benefits are payable and he/she is Continuously Hospitalized for one or more of the disorders above at the end of the 24 month period, while he/ she remains Totally Disabled benefits will be payable for the duration of that hospitalization.

  • At the end of the 24 month period during which long term Supplemental Disability benefits are payable, if you are Continuously Hospitalized for one or more of the disorders above, benefits will be payable for the duration of that hospitalization.The 24 month limit is a lifetime maximum, but benefits are not payable for more than the maximum benefit period shown in Section 1 – Basic Information About This Plan.
