Controlled Act(s) definition

Controlled Act(s) means acts specified in the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (“RHPA”) as acts which may only be performed by authorized regulated health professionals. Of the 14 controlled acts specified in the RHPA, physicians are authorized to perform 13 and may, in appropriate circumstances, delegate the performance of those acts to other individuals who may or may not be members of a regulated health profession, including a PA.
