Critical Infrastructure Information definition

Critical Infrastructure Information means engineering, vulnerability, or detailed design information about proposed or existing critical infrastructure (physical or virtual) that (A) relates details about the production, generation, transmission, or distribution of energy; (B) could be useful to a person planning an attack on critical infrastructure; (C) is exempt from mandatory disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act; and (D) gives strategic information beyond the location of the critical infrastructure.

Critical Infrastructure Information. (CII) has the meaning set forth in the Homeland Security Act of 2002, under the subtitle Critical Infrastructure Information Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. §131-134), and any rules or regulations enacted pursuant thereto, including, without limitation, the Office of the Secretary, Department of Homeland Security Rules and Regulations, 6 C.F.R. Part 29 and any amendments thereto.
