Customs place definition

Customs place means a Customs port or Customs airport designated under section 10;
Customs place means a port or airport;
Customs place means for the purpose of this Act, a port or airport or any other place appointed as such by the Minister;

Examples of Customs place in a sentence

  • In this section: Customs place has the same meaning as in section 183UA.

  • Time of exportation - For the purposes of this Act, the time of exportation is the time when the exporting craft leaves the last Customs place at which that craft calls immediately before proceeding to a point outside the Cook Islands.

  • Any other function done at a Customs place for the purposes of the Customs Acts.

  • Persons departing from the Cook Islands to depart from Customs place - Subject to section 43 and to such exemptions as may be prescribed or unless otherwise authorised by Customs, a person must not depart from the Cook Islands unless he or she departs from a Customs place.

  • A person who is moving or handling the baggage referred to in subsection (1) must comply with any Customs direction relating to the movement of the baggage within the Customs place or Customs controlled area or from any craft to a Customs controlled area.

  • A person-in-charge of a craft that has, as its destination, a point outside the Republic may not cause that craft to depart from any Customs place unless that person has received a certificate of clearance in the prescribed form.

  • Every person who departs from New Zealand must depart from a Customs place unless otherwise authorised by a Customs officer.

  • customs duty means any customs or import duty and a charge of any kind, imposed in connection with the importation of a good, but does not include any:

  • customs territory means the territory of the country of each Contracting Party in which the Customs laws of that country are in force;

  • customs laws means such laws and regulations administered and enforced by the customs authority of each Party concerning the importation, exportation, and transit of goods, as they relate to customs duties, charges, and other taxes, or to prohibitions, restrictions, and other similar controls with respect to the movement of controlled items across the boundary of the customs territory of each Party;

  • customs area means the area of a customs station and includes any area in which imported goods or export goods are ordinarily kept before clearance by customs authorities;

  • commercial place means a place used as an office or for business or commercial purposes.

  • Standard Letter of Credit Practice means, for Issuing Bank, any domestic or foreign law or letter of credit practices applicable in the city in which Issuing Bank issued the applicable Letter of Credit or, for its branch or correspondent, such laws and practices applicable in the city in which it has advised, confirmed or negotiated such Letter of Credit, as the case may be, in each case, (a) which letter of credit practices are of banks that regularly issue letters of credit in the particular city, and (b) which laws or letter of credit practices are required or permitted under ISP or UCP, as chosen in the applicable Letter of Credit.

  • the Gazette means the Botswana Government Gazette;

  • customs value means the value as determined in accordance with the 1994 Agreement on implementation of Article VII of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (WTO Agreement on customs valuation);

  • Polling place means the building where voting is conducted.

  • Customs Broker/Carrier Agreement means an agreement in form and substance satisfactory to the Agent among a Loan Party, a customs broker, freight forwarder, consolidator, or carrier, and the Agent, in which the customs broker, freight forwarder, consolidator, or carrier acknowledges that it has control over and holds the documents evidencing ownership of the subject Inventory for the benefit of the Agent and agrees, upon notice from the Agent, to hold and dispose of the subject Inventory solely as directed by the Agent.

  • Customs Duties means any customs or import duty and a charge of any kind imposed in connection with the importation of a good, but does not include any:

  • Incoterms 2010 means the International Commercial Terms, which are a series of pre-defined commercial terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce and are a trademark of the International Chamber of Commerce.

  • Uniform Customs the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (1993 Revision), International Chamber of Commerce Publication No. 500, as the same may be amended from time to time.

  • FCA means the Financial Conduct Authority;

  • Customs Act means the Customs Act 1901 (as amended), and any succeeding Legislation and any regulations made pursuant to the Customs Act;
