Day Shifts definition

Day Shifts means those shifts commencing at or after 6.00 am.
Day Shifts. (as defined under sub-clause 16.5(a));

Examples of Day Shifts in a sentence

  • Shifts shall be grouped into the following classifications for signing and shall include swings: 6.02.01.01 Day Shifts - Straight shifts ending up to and including 15:00 hours.

  • Employees working Day Shifts (0600- 1800) will be paid 1 ½ x hourly wage.

  • Sick Relief Call Outs (continuous operations employees only): 2 x hourly wage for all Night Shifts (1800-0600) and for Day Shifts on Sundays.

  • Unit members may work two (2) consecutive work shift rotations and then will be required to select a different rotation based on the beginning of watch and end of watch times, i.e., unit members who work two (2) consecutive Day Shifts will be required to work a Graveyard Shift the following shift rotation and vice versa.

  • The normal standard shifts shall be as follows: 07:00 hours – 15:00 hours (Day Shifts) 15:00 hours – 23:00 hours (Evening Shifts) 23:00 hours – 07:00 hours (Night Shifts) The aforementioned standard hours of work and shift schedule are stated solely for the purpose of calculating overtime and shall not be construed as a guarantee of any minimum or a restriction on any maximum number of hours to be worked.

  • A and C Shifts shall be designated Day Shifts; B and D Shifts shall be designated Night Shifts.

  • Day Shifts Between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (8 working hours with ½ hour unpaid lunch break) Afternoon Shift Between 1:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. (8 working hours and ½ hour unpaid meal break).

  • Day Shifts - Five Consecutive Eight (8) – Hour Days Within One (1) Week (Monday - Friday except as provided): Hetch Hetchy Water and Power, Moccasin Electronic Tech Shop .................................................................................................

  • The Day Shifts are as follows: 8 hour shifts Shifts starting between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. 10 hour shifts Shifts starting between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

  • Normal working time shall be scheduled between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., based on an 8 and/or 10 hour shift pattern, at the discretion of the City and shall be deemed Day Shifts, as per Article 17.04.

Related to Day Shifts

  • Day Shift means a shift which commences at or after 6.00 am and before 10.00 am.

  • Afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 6.00pm and at or before midnight.

  • Rostered Shift means any shift of which the employee concerned has had at least 48 hours notice.

  • Workweek means any week during which a Class Member worked for Defendant for at least one day, during the Class Period.

  • Week means seven consecutive days.

  • Working Day means a day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) on which banks are open for general business in the City of London.

  • Hour means an hour of sixty minutes. For the purpose of hire and / or penalty charges, fraction of an hour up to 30 (thirty) minutes will not be taken into account and more than 30 (thirty) minutes will be treated as one full hour.

  • Day/Days means calendar days, inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

  • Working Days means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in England and Wales; and

  • Weekday means Monday – Friday.

  • Hours As used herein, the term "Hours" shall mean sequential sixty (60) minute time frames.

  • School business day means any calendar day except Saturdays, Sundays, and any federal and school holidays upon which the office of the Superintendent is open to the public for business. A school business day concludes or terminates upon the closure of the Superintendent’s office for the calendar day.

  • Afternoon means the period of a day between noon and midnight.

  • Off-Peak Hours means those hours which are not On-Peak Hours.

  • Shift means the period of scheduled straight-time working hours on a scheduled workday where the hours scheduled are consecutive except for the meal period.

  • Weekend means a Saturday and the following Sunday, assuring a minimum of fifty-six (56) hours off duty;

  • Work week means a seven (7) consecutive day week that consistently begins and ends on the same days throughout the year; i.e. Sunday through Saturday, Wednesday through Tuesday, Friday through Thursday.

  • Rostered Day Off means any day (other than a "Non-working Day" as defined) upon which an employee is not rostered to work any ordinary hours of work: provided that an employee's rostered day off shall be a period of twenty-four hours commencing from the completion of an ordinary-hours work period. 7. - CONTRACT OF SERVICE (1) Subject to sub-clauses (7) and (8) of this clause, an employer must not terminate an employee's employment unless:

  • Family day system means any person who approves family day homes as members of its system;

  • Adult day services means adult day services as defined in section 231D.1.

  • Clock hour means either of the following:

  • Day Worker means a person who works his/her ordinary hours from Monday to Friday, inclusive, and who commences work on such days at or after 5.30 a.m. and before 10.00 a.m., otherwise than as part of a shift system.

  • Night Shift means any shift finishing subsequent to midnight and at or before 8.00am.

  • TARGET2 Business Day means, a day in which the Trans-European Automated Real-Time Gross Settlement Express Transfer (TARGET2) System or any successor is open.

  • Observation Shift Days means the number of London Banking Days specified in the relevant Final Terms; and

  • Workday means 12:00 AM through 11:59 PM.
