Transferred Business has the meaning ascribed to such term in the Separation Agreement.
Generation Business means the licensed business (if any) of the Licenseeand any affiliate or related undertaking of the Licensee in the generation of electricity or the provision of Ancillary Services;
SpinCo Business has the meaning set forth in the Separation and Distribution Agreement.
Home-based business means an accessory use to an authorised residential use in which one or more residents carry on a business, and for greater certainty, includes a bed and breakfast, but does not include child care.
Eligible business means a business located within the counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry or Will in the State of Illinois (the “Six County Region”), and as to which: (1) a majority of the business' fleet is located and used within the Six County Region; and (2) a majority of those vehicles located and used within the Six County Region are alternatively powered vehicles.
Parent Business has the meaning set forth in the Separation and Distribution Agreement.
Separate Business means each of the activities of the Licensee connected
Distribution Business means the business of operating and maintaining a distribution system for supplying electricity in the area of supply of the Distribution Licensee;
Retained Business means any business now, previously or hereafter conducted by Seller or any of its Subsidiaries or Affiliates other than the Business.
Company Business means the business of the Company as presently conducted.
Unitary business means a single economic enterprise that is made up either of separate parts of a single business entity or of a group of business entities under common ownership that are sufficiently interdependent, integrated, and interrelated through their activities so as to provide a synergy and mutual benefit that produces a sharing or exchange of value among them and a significant flow of value among the separate parts. "Unitary business" shall be construed to the broadest extent permitted under the Constitution of the United States. A business conducted by a partnership which is in a unitary business with the combined group shall be treated as the business of the partners that are members of the combined group, whether the partnership interest is held directly or indirectly through a series of partnerships, to the extent of a partner's distributive share of partnership income. The amount of partnership income to be included in the partner's entire net income shall be determined in accordance with subsection a. of section 3 of P.L.2001, c.136 (C.54:10A-15.6) or subsection a. of section 4 of P.L.2001, c.136 (C.54:10A-15.7), as applicable. A business conducted directly or indirectly by one corporation is unitary with that portion of a business conducted by another corporation through its direct or indirect interest in a partnership.
Qualified business means an eligible business that:
Covered Business means (A) during the term, any business in which the Company is engaged and (B) after the Term, any business in which the Company was engaged as of the end of the Term.
Eligible next Michigan business means that term as defined in section 3 of the Michigan economic growth authority act, 1995 PA 24, MCL 207.803.
Micro Business means a company which either:
Alarm business means the business by any individual, partnership, corporation, or other entity of selling, leasing, maintaining, servicing, repairing, altering, replacing, moving or installing any alarm system or causing to be sold, leased, maintained, serviced, repaired, altered, replaced, moved or installed any alarm system in or on any building, structure or facility.
City-based business means a person who (i) conducts meaningful day-to-day business operations at a facility located within the city and reports such facility to the Internal Revenue Service as a place of employment for the majority of its regular, full-time workforce; (ii) holds any appropriate city license; and (iii) is subject to applicable city taxes.
Specified Business means a business of a kind prescribed by the regulations to be a specified business; tenant, in relation to a lease, means the person who, under the lease, is or would be entitled to occupy the premises the subject of the lease; Tribunal means the State Administrative Tribunal;
Disabled Business Enterprise means a business owned by a person with a disability that is a continuing, independent, for-profit business that performs a commercially useful function, and is at least fifty-one (51%) owned and controlled by one (1) or more persons with a disability, or, in the case of any publicly-owned business, at least fifty one percent (51%) of the stock of which is owned and controlled by one(1) or more persons with a disability and whose management and daily business operations are under the control of one (1) or more persons with a disability.
Retained Businesses means all businesses now, previously or hereafter conducted by Sellers or any of their Affiliates, other than the Businesses, and “Retained Business” specifically includes the Specified Retained Businesses.
Employer-based group medical means group medical related to a current employment relationship. It does not include medical coverage available to retired employees, individual market medical coverage, or government-sponsored programs such as medicare or medicaid.
Employment Business means an employment agency is an organization which matches employers to employees. In all developed countries there is a publicly funded employment agency and multiple private businesses which also act as employment agencies.
Public business means and includes all matters which relate in any way, directly or indirectly, to the performance of the public body’s functions or the conduct of its business.
the two businesses means the [A/X] business and the Y business;
Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) means a business concern certified as a DVBE by the Office of Small Business Certification and Resources, Department of General Services.
Company IT Assets means all Software, systems, servers, computers, hardware, firmware, middleware, networks, data, data communications lines, routers, hubs, switches and all other information technology equipment, and all associated documentation owned by or licensed, pursuant to valid and enforceable license agreements, to the Company and its Subsidiaries.
