Dependent Care Assistance Account definition

Dependent Care Assistance Account means the bookkeeping account maintained by the Administrator used for crediting contributions and deducting Dependent Care Expense payments and reimbursements.
Dependent Care Assistance Account means the account established for a Participant pursuant to this Article to which part of his Cafeteria Plan Benefit Dollars may be allocated and from which Employment-Related Dependent Care Expenses of the Participant may be reimbursed.
Dependent Care Assistance Account means the account established under Section 7.1 for each Participant, as increased under Section 7.2 by allocated Pay Conversion Contributions and as decreased under Section 7.3 by benefit payments made to the Participant.

  • The purpose of this account is to provide a method through which the employee can accumulate pre-tax funds in a Dependent Care Assistance Account for purposes of reimbursing himself or herself for childcare expenses or day care for a disabled dependent.
