Dominant use definition

Dominant use in relation to a property means where a particular use is the largest proportion (51%) as compared to other uses on that property;
Dominant use means for any meter serving multiple uses, such as an existing meter serving both a residence and a commercial establishment, the use consuming the most water on average. In cases where a meter serves more than one type of use, the meter will be classified based on the dominant use for billing purposes.
