Drug Use Disorder definition

Drug Use Disorder means a disease that is characterized by a pattern of pathological use of a drug with repeated attempts to control the use, and with negative consequences in at least one of the following areas of life: medical, legal, financial, or psycho-social. Substance Use Disorder Program means the CareFirst BlueChoice program for Members with a diagnosed Substance Use Disorder. The program includes ambulatory/outpatient detoxification, individual therapy, group therapy and medication assisted therapy.
