Eligible education institution means an institution that meets the definition under section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code, which defines an eligible education institution generally as an accredited post-secondary educational institution offering credit toward a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree, a graduate level or professional degree, or another recognized post-secondary credential. Certain proprietary institutions and post-secondary vocational institutions and certain institutions located in foreign countries are eligible educational institutions.
